Michaela Desir, DPT
Michaela “Lanae” Desir went to the University of Indianapolis where she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Krannert School of Physical Therapy in 2017. Currently Lanae is a Fellow-In-Training with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). She also holds a Bachelor’s of Music Performance in Violin Performance from the DePauw University School of Music.
Lanae has been working in the outpatient orthopedic realm of physical therapy since 2017. Lanae has extensive training in manual therapy with NAIOMT including her Certification in Manual Physical Therapy. She also has extensive experience working with patients with vestibular conditions such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, vestibular hypofunction, and concussion. She also has experience treating occipital neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, temporomandibular dysfunction, balance disorders, and headaches. She especially loves working with runners, athletes of all types, musicians, and dancers.
After becoming a mother in 2022, Lanae became very interested in all things related to women’s health and obtained her certification in Women’s Health in 2024. She loves working with prenatal and postpartum women and helping them to get back in stride.
When Lanae is not in the office, you can usually find her taking care of her sweet little boy, in the gym, outside enjoying the sunshine, or at church. She enjoys playing her violin for church or weddings, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
