Do You Need a Referral to a Specialist?

With 24 clinics and growing in New Jersey and the opening of clinics in Pennsylvania, Trinity Rehab has established relationships with physicians in nearly every specialty. The continuity of care you receive is important, and a strong relationship with great communication between your Physical Therapist and your referring physician can produce optimal results.

For this reason, Trinity Rehab seeks out specific physicians and medical practices in order to align with those medical professionals who we believe can provide you with the highest quality of care. When seeking out specialists, rest assured that we choose to work with those that we would want to treat our family members, as we have specific criteria and standards in place for selecting our medical “partners.”

Trinity Rehab sees a high percentage of patients via direct access, meaning you can be seen by one of our Physical Therapists for 30 days without a prescription for PT. If you need to continue PT after 30 days and you need a referral to a specialist, we want you to know that you can trust our recommendations and should expect to receive the same excellent care from them as was provided to you by your Trinity Rehab team.

Should you need a referral to a specialist, we can provide you with names to outstanding physicians in many fields, including but not limited to:

  • Orthopedics
  • Sports Medicine
  • Neurology
  • Spine
  • Pain Management
  • Podiatry
  • Vascular
  • Rheumatology

Whether you have already graduated from your PT program or are still being treated by one of our Physical Therapists, we want you to feel comfortable asking us for referrals. We greatly value the trust you have placed in us and are confident that the referring physician network we have established will provide the same level of clinical excellence and compassionate care you have come to expect from Trinity Rehab.
